Since 2016, the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin has been educating gifted young musicians, primarily from the Middle East and North Africa, in the humanistic spirit of Edward Said and Daniel Barenboim. In addition to musical theory and practice, the intensive course of study places a second focus on humanities subjects. Its goal is to educate musically excellent, curious, and reflective individuals. We are delighted about this new cooperation with the Mendelssohn House Leipzig.
