Espresso Concerts at the Konzerthaus Berlin
The Espresso Concerts series at the Konzerthaus Berlin offers compact, high-quality musical experiences in the early afternoon. Lasting around 45 minutes, these concerts are conceived as a refreshing “musical espresso” — concise, stimulating, and ideal for discovering outstanding young artists in an informal and welcoming atmosphere. With carefully curated programmes and exceptional performers, Espresso Concerts invite audiences to enjoy classical music in a relaxed yet artistically ambitious format.
Building Bridges – András Schiff
This Espresso Concert forms part of Building Bridges, the international mentoring initiative founded by Sir András Schiff to support exceptionally gifted young pianists at the beginning of their careers. The project offers young artists performance opportunities at renowned venues across Europe, helping to build lasting artistic connections and introduce new musical voices to a wider audience.
In this concert, Tähe-Lee Liiv presents a programme that reflects her artistic identity and a strong Northern European musical tradition:
Programme
Arvo Pärt (b. 1935): Partita
Edvard Grieg (1843–1907): Ballade in G minor, Op. 24
Einojuhani Rautavaara (1928–2016): Études, Op. 42
Bringing together contemplative depth, dramatic intensity, and virtuosity, this recital offers an intimate yet powerful musical experience — uniting the spirit of the Espresso Concerts with the artistic vision of Building Bridges.
