Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology, Germany

  • Chamber music concert with Michael Barenboim and students of Barenboim Said Akademie

  • Program: Schumann, Dvořák, Brahms

Edward Said and Daniel Barenboim once stated that the world has become a "society of specialists who know more and more about less and less". Three years ago, the Barenboim-Said Akademie (BSA) and the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) of the Max Delbrück Center (MDC) began cooperating to address this issue. As both institutions seek to promote international and interdisciplinary exchange, they launched a joint event series featuring student concerts and scientific presentations to bring young talent together. In continuation and celebration of this partnership:

We cordially invite you to a concert with Michael Barenboim and students of the Barenboim-Said Akademie followed by a panel discussion,

The MDC-BIMSB and the BSA are convinced that scientists and musicians are developing the world of tomorrow. We would like to introduce our cooperation and gain new friends.

It would be a great pleasure to welcome you! You can expect works by Robert Schumann, Antonín Dvořák and Johannes Brahms.
